Smart Weigh High Precision Digital Milligram Scale Review #Scale

I never even knew that I needed a digital milligram scale but I've been having so much fun weighing so many different items! This compact little Smart Weight High Precision Digital Milligram Scale can be used to weigh gold, silver, jewelry, coins & any other small object. It's a really nice portable scale & will weigh up to 20 grams in increments of 0.001 (1 milligram).

The scale comes packaged in a sturdy box with a magnetic closure. It comes with a User Manual, tweezers, a measuring pan & two 10 gram calibrating weights. The scale operates on 2 AAA batteries which are already installed so I didn't have to go searching for batteries. I always appreciate when a company includes the batteries necessary to operate their product.

The first thing you need to do is to turn the scale on & let it warm up for 30 to 60 seconds, then you can calibrate it. The scale has already been calibrated, but the product has been shipped so the calibration may no longer be accurate. So I calibrated the scale before I used it for the first time.

It as actually really easy to do. Once the display shows "CAL", press the "ON" button again & it will flash 10.000g. Put one of the 10 gram weights on the platform & wait for the weight to be accepted. The display will then show 20.000g. Now place the other 10 gram weight on top of the first one to equal a total of 20g. Once this weight is accepted the display will show "PASS". Now calibration is complete & you can return the scale to the normal weighing mode.

I weighed so many things! The display panel is bright & easy to read. The first thing I weighed were my rings. You can see the photo on the left with no weight added & then the photo on the right is weighing my jewelry in grams. I chose grams but you can also choose to weigh oz (ounce), ct (carat), ozt (Troy ounce),  dwt (pennyweight) or gn (grain). And you can use the Tare mode to subtract the weight of an empty container to determine net weight.

So. Here is what I think about the Smart Weigh High Precision Digital Milligram Scale: I like that this scale is not only inexpensive, but also compact & portable. I like that it is easy to use. I like that the digital display is so bright & easy to read. I like that it comes in a nice sturdy box to use for storing the scale.

And I think this scale will make a great gift for anyone who collects coins or makes jewelry.

So. Bottom line. If you need to weigh jewelry, coins, silver, gold or any other small objects, this scale will accurately do this for you. Take it with you to estate sales, collector shows or flea markets to make sure you're getting what you pay for!
