Now that it is Spring, we love weekend driving trips. We pack a lunch & head out to a nearby State Park for a picnic by the lake or explore some of the Farm to Market roads during wildflower season. This Big Size Insulated Lunch Bag/Cooler by Sacko is the perfect bag to carry our snacks & lunch items.
This really is a BIG lunch bag. It measures 13"x 13"x 8" & has a padded adjustable shoulder strap. The bag comes in several colors. Mine is green/white/black & the insulated lining is white. The bag has two black mesh side pockets that are perfect for storing utensils or napkins & a front pocket that is wide enough for your paper plates. On the top of the bag is a velcro flap that allows easy access to the contents of the bag. This makes it really easy to grab a soda or a bottle of water while we're driving without having to unzip the whole top.
On our most recent day trip, we packed the lunch bag/cooler with ice, water, sodas, beers, mayo, mustard, pimiento cheese, hot dogs, cheese, tomatoes, lemons & limes (we also added lettuce, relish & candy bars before we finally zipped the top closed) with plenty of room to spare. The drive to the lake is about 90 minutes & our picnic lunch was in the bag for another 3 hours before we finally unpacked it to cook the hot dogs. Everything was still cold!
So. Here is what I think about the Big Size Insulated Lunch Bag/Cooler: This bag is such a nice size! You can easily pack enough food for day trips or picnics with no problem. It's great to have to carry food or drinks to a cookout or party at a friend's house. It is easy to wipe clean & folds up for storing.
This is a good quality bag/cooler so I'm sure we'll be using ours for road trips, camping, picnics or just a day at the park for many years.
