iPad Car Headrest Mount for Apple iPad 2, 3 & 4 Review #ipadholdercar

We take our tablet with us when we travel, but we have never used a headrest mount. I've seen them & thought that they would be really handy, not only to have a better view of whatever is being watched but also to protect the tablet. So I'm very happy to be able to try this iPad Car Headrest Mount for Apple iPad 2, 3 & 4.

Now, we don't own an actual iPad. We buy Samsung products so the tablet that I tried with this headrest mount is a 10" Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. We do use a cover with a stand on this tablet but it does not attach to a headrest so I was excited to be able to mount the tablet to use in the car.

When the product arrived, I got my tablet to insert it into this headrest mount. It was a bit of a tight fit so I assumed that it was because it isn't an iPad. I checked it out to make sure the power button & volume control were not covered up & could still be used. The power button was exposed but I had to open the top flap of the headrest mount to access the volume control. Also, the speakers on both sides are covered up. BUT keep in mind, I'm not testing this with an iPad so all of the necessary controls could be fully accessible if you actually had an iPad.

So I took the tablet in the headrest mount outside to actually attach it to the headrest in my car. You can see in the photo above what my headrest looks like. It took a bit of effort to get the straps pulled tight enough so that the velcro straps would hold together. They only overlapped by about an inch. It did hold & was at a good height for backseat viewing but if these straps were longer, it would have been much easier.

When I tried the headrest mount on the headrest of a friends SUV, the straps were not long enough & it would not work in her vehicle. Then I tried it in my son's pickup truck & it didn't work on his headrests either. Longer straps would definitely fix this problem & this headrest mount would be able to be used in more vehicles.

So. Here is what I think about the iPad Car Headrest Mount: I think that this would be great for an actual iPad but my Samsung did fit & we were able to use it successfully. The velcro straps definitely need to be longer to make it easier to attach & to be usable in more vehicles. Overall we do like the headrest mount & will be using it when we travel.

And the initial tightness when I inserted my tablet wasn't so bad the next time I did it so it does stretch out a bit which makes it easier.
