I used it on my face & neck first, rolling it 10 times in 4 directions as described in the instructions. My skin did get red but it didn't really hurt at all. My skin felt kind of tingly for a while but it wasn't a bad feeling. I actually look forward to using this roller now. It's kind of addictive!

So. Here is what I think about....Children's Mucinex Multi-Symptom Cold

Unboxing....Birchbox January 2015 #birchbox

Two of the beauty products that I received from Influenster in my #FrostyVoxBox are from Rimmel London. I got to try their Just Let It Go...Gentle Eye Makeup Remover & Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eye Liner.

I don't usually use eye liner simply because I'm really bad at applying it. I usually end up looking like a raccoon! But I tried this one anyway just to be a good sport. It does go on very smoothly & evenly. I still don't have the right touch so it wasn't the look that I was going for, but I like the product so maybe with some more practice I can get better at it.

The eye makeup remover is gentle enough for my somewhat sensitive skin. It does remove all of my regular makeup really well & even takes off waterproof mascara just like it advertises on the label. But it didn't work well on the waterproof eye liner. I went through 3 cotton balls trying to wipe it all off but, even though it made the color fainter, I could still see the eye liner.  But since I don't usually wear liner, I'll continue to use this product.

So. Here is what I think about....Monster High Freaky Fusion Recharge Chamber

I was so happy to receive Frankie Stein & the Monster High Freaky Fusion Recharge Chamber a couple of months ago to review. The box arrived & I opened it to check out what was included.

The box contained the Monster High Recharge Chamber with the Frankie Stein doll, the Monster High Freaky Fusion DVD & 3 AA batteries. I always appreciate when a company includes the batteries needed to operate the product.

My granddaughter loves Monster High dolls, so I knew that she would be the perfect person to test this for me. I gave it to her for her birthday & she was so excited to receive it. She ripped off the wrapping paper & immediately opened the box to get everything set up so that she could play with it.

The toy was a bit difficult to remove from  the box but once we got it all put together it was non-stop action!  She loves watching Frankie's hair stand up with static electricity & then she brushes & styles it back into shape before she shocks her again.

She watches the DVD that came with this toy & acts out the scenes with her friends or they make up their own. This toy has really "sparked" their imaginations! And her little brother has even been trying to join in the action.

I have combination skin so I exfoliate regularly. I've always used those products that have the scrubby bits that feel like sand. When I got the opportunity to try the Oleavine Konjac Sponge, I was anxious to use it because the product description says that it is infused with French Green Clay. Those of us with oily skin know that clay is what we're looking for when we clean our faces.

When I opened the box & unwrapped the sponge. I will admit that at that point I was a bit skeptical. The sponge was as light as a feather & it felt like I was holding a piece of styrofoam.

After reading the directions on the box, I rinsed the sponge in warm water & it started to become softer & feel more like a sponge as it absorbed the water. Then I pressed the sponge between my palms to squeeze out some of the water. Now I was ready to give it a try!

The teardrop shape fit perfectly in my palm & I began to massage my face with the sponge. It felt really good on my skin & didn't cause redness like those exfoliating scrubs. When I had finished, I patted my face dry. My skin did not feel dried out, but just felt soft & smooth. I rinsed the sponge & again pressed it between my palms to squeeze out the excess water. There is a string attached to the sponge so that it can be hung up to air dry so I hung it on a hook in my shower.

This sponge can be used without any cleanser at all. But if you choose to use one, you will only need a small bit, much less than you would usually use.

According to the product information, this sponge is 100% natural, biodegradable, sustainably developed, no color added, no preservatives & no chemicals. I don't know about you, but that's pretty much what I look for when I'm going to be using a product every day on my face.

And the ingredients list on the box is really short too: Pure Konjac Powder, water, French Green Clay. That's it!

So. Here is what I think about the Oleavine 100% Plant Based Sponge Infused with French Green Clay: My original skepticism was immediately erased as soon as I used the sponge for the first time. The sponge absorbs water & becomes so soft. It feels good on my face & cleanses well while still being gentle & causing no redness.

I especially love the fact that I only need a tiny bit of my regular face cleanser when I use it with this sponge.

So. Bottom line. If you have combination skin with that oily T-zone like I do, this product will work for you. The infusion of French Green Clay helps absorb excess oil & leaves skin feeling refreshed.

So. Here is what I think about....Summit Nutritions Garcinia Cambogia Extract 85% HCA Complex #Garcinia

I have heard a lot of talk lately about Garcinia Cambogia but always just assumed that, because it is for weight loss, it would make me feel jittery or nervous. So I never tried it. But then I had an opportunity to try Summit Nutritions Garcinia Cambogia Extract 85% HCA Complex so I decided to go ahead & see what it's all about.

The product arrived & I opened the box to check it out. It  came with a brochure that told me everything I needed to know.

This product is a fat blocker & appetite suppressant. The fat blocking  process also decreases the production of LDL, which is the bad cholesterol. Your appetite is suppressed by increasing serotonin levels which also improves your mood & helps calm the need to react to stress by turning to food. This product is taken twice daily by consuming one capsule 30 minutes before meals with 8 ounces of water. I take this before lunch & again before dinner.

I've been taking these capsules for almost 3 weeks. I'm very happy that I have not experienced any jittery or nervous feeling & it really does suppress my appetite. I've got a package of Oreos in the kitchen that I'm not even tempted to open! And I've lost 4 pounds!!

The other product that I received is Raspberry Ketones, which is a fat burner & appetite controller.

This product will release more of the hormone that is necessary to burn fat in the body while converting your existing body fat to energy so you will feel full while eating less. This product is also taken twice daily by consuming two capsules 15 - 20 minutes before breakfast & lunch. I have not tried these yet because I did not want to take 2 of these types of products at once. It's perfectly okay to take both, it's just a personal choice.

Both of these products contain no fillers, no additives, no artificial ingredients & both are vegetarian capsules. The Garcinia Cambogia is also a good source of calcium.

So. Here is what I think about Summit Nutritions Garcinia Cambogia Extract 85% HCA Complex: It does what it is supposed to do. I do not feel hungry as often & I'm not tempted to eat just because I'm bored or there is cake in the kitchen. And the fact that I'm getting some extra Calcium is a bonus.

So. Bottom line. If you're looking for help losing weight this product will definitely help. You won't feel jittery & you won't feel hungry!

Taste Test: Celestial Seasons Candy Cane Lane Green Tea #CelestialTea

I received a sample of Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea in my #FrostyVoxBox from Influenster. The sample contains two teabags. As soon as I opened the package I could smell the scent of peppermint.

I dropped a teabag into my mug & poured hot water over it. After it steeped, I took my first sip. It doesn't have an overwhelming taste of peppermint, but just enough to taste really nice.  I really like this tea & will be looking for it on my next shopping trip. A perfect treat for the holiday season.

I'm Sampling....#DiscoverCampbells New Products

I was chosen by Crowdtap to participate in a Sampling of the new Campbell's products! I have always used Campbell's in my kitchen, whether it was a big bowl of Chicken Noodle soup for my kids or tricking them into getting enough veggies with a glass of V8 juice. We use Pace salsa on Taco Tuesdays & Prego pasta sauce on Pasta Sundays & we are very familiar with Campbell's, so I was really excited to find out that there are new products for us to try!

When the box arrived, I barely got it into the house before I started opening it because I wanted to see all of the goodies that we were going to get to sample!

I wanted to get started right away so I looked through the booklet that was full of recipes & coupons & read the Sampling Checklist that Crowdtap provided. The instructions pointed out that this program will last several weeks & that new challenges for using these products will be presented so I decided to wait a bit longer to get started.

The first product that we tried was the Spaghettios Micros. It's been a long time since any of us had Spaghettios but I was ready to try them again. These take about a minute in the microwave to cook & need to stand for another minute. Then we got our spoons ready! One of my older sons agreed to try this with me. We both took a few bites, well he had more bites than I did, but they taste just like I remember. The only complaint that I have about this product is that it is difficult to peel the plastic off of the top. We ended up having to get a knife to cut it off!

Next I tried the Slow Kettle Style Roasted Chicken Noodle Soup. It comes in a 15.5oz plastic tub that can go in the microwave, but the cooking directions say "For best results use the stove top instructions". So that is what I did because I did want the "best results"! It smelled so good while it was cooking. I could smell the aroma of the herbs & I couldn't wait to try it. I poured it into my bowl, got some bread & butter, then sat down for lunch. It was a cold day & this soup was just what I needed to warm my insides. It had lots of pasta with big chunks of chicken & carrots. It was really good & reminded me of the homemade chicken noodle soup that my Mom made when I was younger. I saw about a dozen other flavors of Slow Kettle Style soup on the Campbell's website so I'm going to see what I can find in my grocery & try some more of these.

Then I was presented with a challenge to use the Campbell's Creamy Parmesan Chicken Skillet Sauce with leftovers. I had some leftover broccoli so I decided to use that. I also had some yellow squash in my fridge that I needed to use pretty quickly so I sliced it up & mixed it with the broccoli in a skillet. Then I poured the Creamy Parmesan Skillet Sauce over the veggies & waited for it to get hot. Wow! It smelled so good that I wasn't sure if I would actually wait for supper or just eat it with a spoon right out of the pan! I put some potatoes in the microwave & when the buzzer sounded we were ready to eat. I cut the potatoes into quarters & spooned the Creamy Parmesan veggie mix over them. This was such a quick, easy & totally yummy meal!

Next came instructions to use V8 juice. I really wanted to try the V8 Spicy Mango but none of the stores in my area carry it. So I used my free coupon to buy V8 Bloody Mary mix & I also grabbed a bottle of Original V8 juice to make my famous Chili Spaghetti which is a family favorite. So we did the obvious & made Bloody Mary's with the V8 Bloody Mary mix to enjoy while we waited for the Chili Spaghetti. This meal takes over an hour to bake & it's agonizing to have to wait that long when the amazing smells from the kitchen come drifting through the rest of the house, So when I finally took it out of the oven, we were already lined up with our plates waiting to eat!

When we tried the Campbell's Chunky Beer-n-Cheese with Beef & Bacon soup, there were differences of opinions on how it should be served. I love a good bowl of soup, so that is how I ate mine. But those who wanted a bit more substantial meal opted to pour the soup over a baked potato. Either way, it was good. I mean, these are our 4 favorite food groups all in 1 can! There are so many flavors of Chunky Soup & I'm going to stock up because soup is great to warm your insides on a cold winter day.

I used the Prego Light Alfredo sauce to make Fettuccine Alfredo. I had some leftover shredded chicken so I mixed it into the Alfredo sauce & poured it over the cooked fettuccine. It was simple, it was convenient & it was delicious! And this sauce only has 3.5 grams of fat & 50 calories per serving. That's a lot better than the regular Alfredo sauce products that have a lot more fat & calories.

The Swanson Cream Starter was just the thing that I needed to make our favorite Potato Corn Chowder. I usually use chicken broth to cook the veggies & then thicken it with a packet of Country Gravy mix. Using the Cream Starter instead makes the chowder creamier & I'll use it from now on. Our dinner was creamy, warm & yummy!

I was really curious about the new Latin Inspired line of soups. Living in Texas, we love foods that are flavored with cumin, cilantro, peppers, spicy cheeses & other Mexican/Latin herbs & spices. So I am happy to see these soups that use the flavors that we love. I used this to make the Creamy Poblano Mac & Cheese. It was really good but we like things a bit hotter so next time I'll probably add some diced jalapenos just to spice it up. The other flavors that Campbell's offers are Black Bean, Cumin & Cilantro plus Tomato, Chipotle & Olive Oil. Both of these sound good & we will definitely try them.

The last product that we sampled was the Soups for Easy Cooking. They totally nailed the name for this one! Is is SO EASY to make a great tasting meal with just this little carton. I used the recipe that I found on the back of the box & we were not disappointed. This soup has such a great mushroom flavor & it was a nice change from our normal pasta dishes that use a red sauce. I'm going to get a couple of the other flavors of this soup the next time I'm grocery shopping. The Sweet Onion flavor would be great in a meatloaf & the Mexican Style Tomato can be used in enchiladas or chili.

This was a really great sampling & my family enjoyed trying all of these new products. We will be trying more of the other flavors offered & I know that we will find some favorites that will stay in rotation on our monthly meal plans.
