We use a lot of Johnsonville products at our house so when I was chosen to sample the new Johnsonville Fully Cooked Breakfast Sausage I was curious to taste it.
My Crowdtap Kit arrived & I received a coupon to get a free package of the breakfast sausage. I knew that my local Kroger store carried this product so I went over there to see what they had.
Johnsonville Fully Cooked Breakfast Sausage comes in 3 flavors: Original, Vermont Maple Syrup & Turkey Sausage. My store only carries the Original flavor so I got one & took it home to give it a try.
One evening when I wasn't in the mood to cook, I decided to make breakfast for dinner (a favorite at our house!). While I was frying the eggs, I put the 12 sausages on a plate & set the microwave for 1 minute (the instructions say to cook 2 pieces of sausage for 30 seconds). When the microwave beeped, I left them in there to stay warm. Then while we were toasting our bread, I turned the microwave on for another minute. This time when it beeped, we were ready to eat.
We tried the sausage & I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised. I had expected them to be dried out from being in the microwave, but they were moist & very tasty. There was no leftover sausage after we ate. Now I want to go back to see if my store has stocked the Maple flavor or ask them if they can get some.
